IT company Microsoft has decided to have its IT engineers use IT Support in order to discontinue an IT service just days after Internet company Google did this to another two services. The Microsoft Hohm, the home energy monitoring service, gave users the ability of seeing their energy usage but it had a poor demand. Microsoft said that "The feedback from customers and partners has remained encouraging throughout Microsoft Hohm's beta period. However, due to the slow overall market adoption of the service, we are instead focusing our efforts on products and solutions more capable of supporting long-standing growth within this evolving market."
